Rett Syndrome is the most physically disabling of the autism spectrum
disorders, and is diagnosed almost exclusively in females.
Rett Syndrome is caused by sporadic mutations in a gene called MECP2.
Rett strikes at random across all ethnic and socioeconomic groups.
